You voted, and here are the results of NJ Sea Grant's Favorite Jersey Shore Beaches AND the photo capturing it all!

This photo is the top overall winner from the NJ Sea Grant photo contest. It's called  "Early Morning Welcome," taken by Edward O'Hara of Beach Haven. Well done, Edward!

 

And now for the results of New Jersey Sea Grant Consortium's “Favorite Beaches” annual poll:

NJ Sea Grant is thrilled to announce the top “favorite beaches” throughout Atlantic, Cape May, Monmouth, and Ocean Counties for 2020!

In Atlantic County, the winning  beach is:

Brigantine (with Atlantic City coming in second and Margate in third.)

 

 

In Cape May County, the winning beach is:

Cape May (with The Wildwoods coming in second and Ocean City in third.)

 

 

In Ocean County, the winning beach is:

Point Pleasant Beach (with Lavallette coming in second and Island Beach State Park in third.)

 

 

And in Monmouth County the winning beach is:

Asbury Park (with Bradley Beach coming in second and a 3-way tie for third -- Belmar//Manasquan/Sandy Hook!)

 

 

Out of all the votes for the winners above, the Top Overall Beach at the Jersey Shore, according to your votes, goes this year to:

1. Brigantine (with Cape May the runner-up.)

 

 

Thousands of voters also participated in NJSGC’s Jersey Shore Photo contest. The final Top 12 images will be featured in NJSGC’s popular desktop calendar for 2021. Although we are only showing you the winning photo here, you can check out the rest of the winners BY CLICKING HERE!
