In order to help us all out, we asked Jersy Shore residents to name the road they dread driving on the most. What they had to say might surprise you.

Here are the roads Jersey Shore drivers dread more than any others (from 4-1).

Route 22 Springfield/Union area. People who don't want to drive on this stretch of roadway really don't want to drive on it. Dangerous drivers and maddening traffic make this the #4 most dreaded road according to you.

Interstate 287. You never know what you're going to get on any stretch of 287. Wait a minute, yes you do. A ton of traffic. Dana reminds us on Facebook to avoid our #3 worst road like the plague. You got that right.

Route 70 Brick. The congestion and traffic are legendary. Lots of stores, lots of traffic, and not a lot of lanes. That's why it's #2 on your list. And anyone who needs to drive on it knows why.

Route 9, Lakewood. It really wasn't even close. This was about as clear a win as you could have. Many people just said "Lakewood", but the clear winner was Route 9 in Lakewood, especially where it goes down to one lane by the hospital. Route 9 in Lakewood is the most dreaded road in New Jersey according to you.
