Your Donations Helped Raise THIS MUCH for The Basie

Our annual Day of Giving brought out the generosity of our listeners. Big time!

"Between our donors, listeners of 94.3 The Point and a generous match from Citi, we were able to raise more than $90,000 on Giving Tuesday. We are so grateful for this outpouring of support, and for the excitement the public has shown for the future of the Count Basie Center for the Arts."

The Basie Center for the Arts is so much more than a venue for concerts. The Basie provides an opportunity for education in the arts...and that benefits our children in ways that will last a lifetime, instilling in them confidence and lifelong skills, as well as a love of the arts and the added benefit of expanding their minds and honing their learning skills in ways that help them become better students in the classroom at their schools, too. Your donations also provide support for the teachers who are shaping these young lives.

The expansion of The Basie will allow for better access with new elevators, a larger lobby, more rehearsal space, a second venue for shows, an updated backstage area and larger loading dock to allow for even greater shows, an outdoor/rooftop gathering spots, and even more restroomsll!
