Zombies Invade Asbury Park this Saturday

The Zombies are back and taking over the Asbury Park Boardwalk this Saturday.  Be a part of the largest Halloween inspired event, which has become a Jersey Shore tradition.

The FREE Zombie walk is fun for all ages and we encourage you to be ghoulishly creative with your costume and makeup.  In order to promote a safe, lighthearted experience, please leave ALL prop weapons at home.  The fun starts at 11 a.m. inside Convention Hall, where you can get your Zombie merchandise.  Be sure to check out the Professional Makeup Artist Alley to witness the amazing Zombie transformations.

At 4 p.m., the Zombies will begin their horrific haul down the Boardwalk, passing the New Jersey Natural Gas Asbury Park Boardwalk Studio, where I will be broadcasting live with the Point Crew.  The walk continues towards the Carousel House and the Zombies will eventually make their way Downtown to Cookman, Mattison and concluding on Main Street.  The fun doesn’t stop there.  The Official Zombie Walk After Party will be held at Johnny Mac’s House of Spirits.  Here’s the list of events, so pace yourself and devour the experience:

1 p.m.:      Zombie Walk’s dance team will hold the Thriller Dance Workshop in front of The Paramount Theatre

2 p.m.:      Jello Brain Eating Contest in front of the Paramount Theatre

2-3 p.m.:   Judges will walk the boards, selecting finalists for Best Child, Best Adult, Best Couple and Best Group prize categories

3:30 p.m.: Thriller Dance will take place in front of the Paramount Theatre

4 p.m.: Official Zombie Walk starting at the Convention Hall

6 p.m.: Final Judging at Johnny Mac’s House of Spirits & Cash Prizes
