Monmouth County Prosecutor Pete Warshaw says a white male suspect entered the Central Jersey Bank on West Sylvania Avenue at around 12:05 p.m. Thursday. He says the suspect handed the teller a note demanding cash and fled with the proceeds.
The suspect is described as clean-shaven, around 5″5, 18 to 25 yoa, 140 lbs, Brown hair, wearing a gray zip-up hooded sweatshirt and a dark baseball cap.
Warshaw would neither confirm or deny earlier Asbury Park Press reports that the suspect stepped into a waiting taxi that took him to a nearby train station.
There are no reported injuries.
