Day One Of Bamboozle Goes Well In Asbury Park
The first day of the Bamboozle Festival’s return to Asbury Park went smoothly on most but not all fronts.
Under sunny skies with perfect temperatures thousands descended on Asbury Park’s north beach for a day of soaking in the sun and and an evening of music.

Asbury Park officials estimate 23,000 descended upon the Festival on Friday reports the Asbury Park Press.

Bamboozle’s first attempt at using wristbands to enter the concert area did not go well according to the Star Ledger which reports long lines stretching from Asbury Park into Ocean Grove. There was also some confusion with the shuttle buses running between Monmouth Park and the Bamboozle site in Asbury Park according to comments on the Bamboozle Facebook page.
The gates officially open at 5PM with performances tonight by late addition My Chemical Romance and Foo Fighters, who will then take a helicopter to Manhattan for their appearance on Saturday Night Live. Pauly D from MTV’s Jersey Shore will also make an appearance.
