Yesterday, Liz and I did the show from The Atlantic Club in Manasquan to help the FoodBank of Monmouth and Ocean Counties, and your response was amazing!
The FoodBank of Monmouth and Ocean Counties does amazing work all the time, and that amazing work has never been more needed than it is now.
My phone hasn't stopped ringing since Sandy. People who are volunteering for a charity helping Sandy victims, organizers of events to aid their neighbors, or people who feel very lucky that there damage was limited and want to do something to help those who weren't as fortunate.
It's been tough to keep track of time the past few weeks. It's hard to believe that my favorite holiday, Thanksgiving is this Thursday. At some point during the post-Sandy period, most of us have asked ourselves "why do I live here?" Quite frankly, I did. Here are

I don't often bake, but when I do, I enjoy it. I happened to have some leftover canned pumpkin, which fairly easily turned into some incredible pumpkin chocolate chip squares, which I honestly intended to serve for Thanksgiving dessert. Suffice it to say, there's only one left, and I call dibs!
Thanksgiving has always been my favorite holiday because of its simplicity. Food, friends, good conversation and most importantly family.
