It's so exciting when you see famous actors and a movie crew filming in your town!

We had Neal Bledsoe on our show this morning to talk about the movie he's starring in, called "West End" which was written and directed (and also stars) Joe Basile.

You may recognize Neal from his roles in Ugly Betty, Sex and the City Two, Law and Order SVU, and most recently in a story line earlier this season on my favorite tv show "Smash".

Also starring in West End: Melissa Archer from One Life to Live, Eric Roberts, Peter Onorati, Joe Nieves, and Isabella Hoffman.

The storyline for the movie has been described as a "Hamlet on the Jersey Shore", and Neal told us filming here at the shore was so different from a Hollywood or NYC shoot where everything feels so 'corporate' instead of real community members contributing to the shoot.

Monmouth and Ocean Counties really have rallied to support the making of this original movie. Joe Leone's is catering the entire movie (Neal says he feels like he's put on 30 pounds from eating Joe's awesome food), Irwin Lincoln's cars are driven by the lead characters (thanks to Irwin's owner and Executive Producer on this film Shelly LoCascio), Lola's Boutique and Gold Fever in Point Pleasant worked on the wardrobe for all of the characters, John Sadie of Karma in Seaside Heights and Sam and Sal Chiarella of Rella's Italian Tavern in Brielle provided some of the locations, all joining together to create a piece of Jersey Shore history, along with many others along the way to getting this movie finished.

They may also do some filming at the Manasquan Inlet in case you happen to be strolling by and see cameras!

Neal says it's looking like the film could be in theatres this fall, but if you'd like to check out more information in the meantime, check out the West End website:  www.westendthemovie.com
