Lately, I’ve been watching a lot more independent films. I still enjoy the major blockbuster movies, but there is something special about organic film making that is produced outside of the major film studio machine.

Although the film budgets might be low, the filmmakers’ personal artistic vision is celebrated on the big screen in a big way. Now you can enjoy the finest quality of independent cinema at the 2nd Annual Monmouth Film Festival August 11th through the 13th at the Two River Theatre in Red Bank.

The Monmouth Film Festival Networking Event is Friday at 7 p.m., where you will get a chance to walk the red carpet with filmmakers, actors, agents, artists, and press. Saturday and Sunday will be packed with a variety of independent films for you to screen like a VIP. You can get the complete schedule by clicking HERE.

The entire event will wrap with an Awards Ceremony on Sunday at 7:30 p.m. The Monmouth Film Festival is more than viewing independent films. This is an educational opportunity for anyone interested in the film industry. Take advantage of networking with industry professionals, workshops and even internship opportunities for High School and College students.
