Wow! This is the last winner of the 2020 MVP awards! This last month and a half have been a pleasure. We wrapped up 2020 highlighting and giving recognition to many Jersey Shore frontline workers. I am happy to say the "Favorite Jersey Shore EMT" category succeeded expectations. We received hundreds of votes! We are thankful for all the EMT's who were nominated and every EMT received a handful of votes. The support was outstanding!

THE WINNER...Nicole Plevritis!! Nicole is the first female Lieutenant of the Point Boro EMS squad. She is also working for Brick Township EMS and Tri-Boro EMS. Alison Kelly nominated Nicole and she says, "Nicole is a dedicated EMT who treats all her patients like they are family. She goes above and beyond and her compassion is endless. She is 24 years old and graduated from Howell High School. She has been an EMT for 3 years and she is also studying to become a registered nurse." Congratulations Nicole and thank you for your tremendous dedication!

Michael Weber was also nominated and he finished just a few voted behind Nicole. Michael Weber works with the Point Pleasant Beach FAS. He has risen to the rank of First Sergeant with the Point Pleasant First Aid Squad and has consistently responds to calls for service throughout the pandemic, always working to improve the efficiency of Point Pleasant Beach First Aid Squad. Thank you, Michael!

As I wrap this up, I would like to give a special THANK YOU to all frontline workers at the Jersey Shore. We greatly appreciate your kind efforts. The Jersey Shore would be a very different place if we didn't have men and women like YOU battling on the frontlines. YOU HAVE ALL THE RESPECT IN THE WORLD. From all of us here at 94.3 The Point, we THANK YOU!
