There is no doubt that one of the great attractions at the Asbury Park Boardwalk is the legendary Madame Marie's.

For those of you who are into details, here are three things to know about Madam Marie's...

It opened in 1932. that's right, 87 years of looking into the future. I wonder if Marie knew then that it would still be there today.

Madame Marie (Marie Castello) worked for 76 years on the Asbury Park Boardwalk. She passed in June, 2008.

Madame Marie, made world famous by Bruce Springsteen of course, was born in Neptune City in 1915.

You can, of course, visit the Temple of Knowledge to this day. What a great way to be a part of the long and amazing history of the Asbury Park Boardwalk. The booth has been visited by such legendary figures as Judy Garland, Ray Charles, and Frank Sinatra, according to atlasobscura.com.

So, next time you visit the Asbury Park Boardwalk, take notice of this awesome piece of history!
