A Simple Yet Beautiful Moment On The Boardwalk In Asbury Park, NJ
I hope you are having a wonderful start to your 2022 summer. Jersey Shore summer weekends are a blast, and I hope you are making the most of it. Have fun and do what makes you happy!
On Memorial Day Weekend we kicked off our LIVE broadcasts from the Asbury Park Boardwalk. The 94.3 The Point and Cat Country 96.7 & 104.1 team truly appreciates having the opportunity to broadcast every Friday & Saturday. We will on the boardwalk doing shows till Labor Day Weekend.
It would not be possible if it wasn't for the Asbury Park Chamber of Commerce and the awesome team at New Jersey Natural Gas. Most importantly, I saw a simple yet beautiful moment on the boardwalk that needs to be talked about. Details below!
When I am not talking on the air, I am usually saying hello to the thousands of people who are walking by. As I scanned the crowd and looked further down the boardwalk, I noticed a couple that you rarely see. It was two octogenarians holding hands and strolling my way.
As I watched them the whole world seem to slow down. The couple was thoughtful, caring, and they seemed to enjoy each second, they shared together. It looked like everything happening around them wasn't important. It was just them two, lost in the moment, enjoying a nice walk on a gorgeous June Saturday in Asbury Park.
It's usually hectic on the boardwalk, it's very fast-paced. There were people running, walking dogs, biking, and there was this couple doing their thing. It sounds like such a simple thing, but it was a beautiful moment. The couple is a perfect example of what it means to "grow old with one another".
Shout out to Bob and Mary from Bradley Beach! You guys are awesome and may your love for one another forever stay strong. It was wonderful meeting you.
