5 Big Movies With Monmouth Or Ocean Scenes In Them
We're all staying closer to home these days and that's a smart thing. we want to keep the down time ideas coming for Jersey Shore residents.
We like to keep the 'Jersey' in our ideas, so we thought we'd list some movies you might want to watch that have one, many or several scenes in them that were filmed in local towns...
War of the Worlds. The Tom Cruise blockbuster has scenes shot in Howell, as well as Bayonne, Newark and Elizabeth.
Amityville Horror. Parts of this 1979 smash were famously filmed in Toms River.
The Wrestler. The scenes with Mickey O'Rourke's character and his daughter were shot on the Asbury Park boardwalk.
Once Upon A Time In America. Some of this Robert DeNiro flick was shot in Spring Lake, as well as the Hoboken Terminal.
Annie. Daddy Warbuck's mansion (outside) was actually Wilson Hall at Monmouth University in West Long Branch.
Clerks. This Kevin Smith local favorite was shot in Leonardo.
I know that's 6, but we didn't want to leave Clerks out, even though we know many of you knew about that one.
These are some great watches, and they have a little bit of the Garden State right there in them, so you don' t have to go outside to get our daily New Jersey. Enjoy them. Hope this helps.
There are a bunch more New Jersey scenes in movies of course, and you can check the list out at nj.com. Stay healthy and stay safe.
