6 Shelter Dogs Looking for Moms This Mother’s Day

Stella is a sweet and gentle girl, approximately 3 years old. She has been at the MCSPCA shelter for over 2 years now, and was rescued from a cruelty situation. She is now in search of a forever home to call her own She is a terrier mix who enjoys playing fetch and loves a leisurely walk where she can stop to smell the roses along the way. She has had many over night visits with some of her volunteer friends who report that she is perfect and a delightful guest in their home. She wants nothing more than a long nap on the sofa with her friends.

Brooklyn is a wonderful 2 1/2 year old terrier mix who was surrendered to the shelter because she was pregnant.  She gave birth to 8 beautiful puppies, who have all since moved on to their forever homes. Now this special mom is looking for a home of her own. Brooklyn is super playful and loves to play fetch and throw squeaky toys around. She loves going for walks on the beach, trips to the park and lots of car rides! She's all about showing the love too: Brooklyn loves to snuggle!

Keith is a 2-year-old Boston Terrier mix who came to the shelter from a hoarding case along with 16 other dogs.  Many of these dogs were never socialized out of the house so new things were very scary to them. Now Keith is learning how to just be a happy dog! Keith currently likes to follow his foster mom around and play fetch with his favorite blue ball. He loves to run around in the fenced yard and work out with laps around the yard but he is not yet ready for leash walking. Keith is coming out of his shell more and more every day! Keith does like other dogs and finds comfort in having them nearby so he would love to find a home with another dog in it. He does take a little time to warm up, but once he is comfortable with someone, he will climb into their lap to be close and feel safe.

Brook came the shelter when her family was no longer able to care for her. She is a sweet 5-year-old terrier mix who enjoys long walks with her friends. She can be a little timid when first meeting new people, but once she warms up to you she will climb in your lap and snuggle with you.  She is a smart and energetic girl who loves to play, and knows commands such as “sit”, “stay”, “come”, “down”, and she will give you her paw! She enjoys squeaky toys and tennis balls or even a game of tug.  She does prefer to be an only pet, but her previous family says she is good with kids!

Princess is a 4-year-old terrier mix who has been lucky enough to stay with a foster family for the last 8 months...but her luck is about to run out. If she doesn't find a forever home to call her own before Memorial Day, she will be forced to come back to the shelter since her foster family cannot keep her at their summer home. Princess loves to play, and squeaky toys and tennis balls are her favorite. She is a smart girl who knows commands like “sit”, “stay”, and “come,” and she showers her friends with lots of kisses and snuggles! She also enjoys car rides, walks on the beach, and hikes too. She loves getting all the attention, and does need to be the only pet in the home. She loves all people she meets, and her foster dad says she is "the most awesome dog EVER!!!"

Roscoe is a hound mix, just under a year old. He is definitely a puppy at heart, with lots of energy and lots of love! Roscoe is a playful boy who loves other dogs, and toys too! He loves long walks and romps in the park, and even a game of fetch. He has lots of energy and would benefit greatly from an active family who loves life and adventures just as much as he does. He is very affectionate, and gets so excited when he sees his human friends coming with their leash. Roscoe is a smart boy who would make a wonderful addition to a family that could give him the love and attention he so deserves!
