A 60 year-old-man died on Sunday after being pulled from the ocean on Jenkinson's Beach.

A 9-1-1 distress call was sent to police at 2:12 PM when beach goers spotted the man in the water unconscious.

First responders pulled him from the ocean in Point Pleasant and after performing CPR, brought him to the Ocean Medical Center located in Brick.

He was pronounced dead at 3:14 PM.

This was the third death on the Jersey Shore while over 35 others were rescued from the beaches in Belmar this past weekend due to dangerous rip currents and rough surf conditions due to Hurricane Maria.

Officials are urging beach-goers of the dangerous conditions and caution swimmers from going into the water until Maria passes, especially with no Lifeguards on duty.
