Popular Convenience Chain Closing 18 New Jersey Locations
Of all New Jersey businesses that would be announcing closures, this is the last one I'd expect.
Not sure who I am talking about?
They have 402 store locations scattered across the Garden State and over 9,500 stores throughout the country.
Plus, they have some of the best taquitos I have ever had.
Shockingly enough, it is 7-Eleven and Speedway!
Everyone goes to 7-Eleven! Why on earth do they need to close their stores? Even THEY can't make it in this economy? Wow.
Luckily, that is not why 7-Eleven is gearing up for a slew of closures.
"7-Eleven, the largest U.S. convenience store chain, is in the midst of downsizing a year after it purchased Speedway," according to APP.com.
Thank goodness because if 7-Eleven was in the process of going belly up, I don't know what I'd do.
According to APP.com, 7-Eleven and Speedway will be closing 18 locations throughout New Jersey.
Sad, I know.
There are a few Jersey Shore locations that come to mind upon hearing this news.
There is a 7-Eleven on Hooper Avenue in Toms River, in the Kohl's Plaza in Holmdel and on West Bay Avenue in Barnegat.
Are any of these locations on the chopping block?
They could be, but nothing has been confirmed yet.
It has, however, already been confirmed that one of the 7-Eleven locations closing their doors permanently is in Lakehurst on Route 70, according to APP.com.
Rumor has it that the store's last day will be November 3rd according to an employee.
As far as those other 17 locations, no news has been revealed on which specific locations are closing.
But real quick, why downsize?
