It's been almost six months now since Hurricane Sandy changed our lives, and for those of us who live well inland, life is mostly back to normal.

Many weren't so lucky, and the devastation is still widespread.

This aerial video follows Ocean Terrace in Normandy Beach, part of the barrier island section of Toms River.

So what does the Jersey Shore look like after Hurricane Sandy?

It's unbelievable to see many of the cross streets still covered in sand, the houses still torn to bits.

We have come a long way in many places, but as noted at the end of the video, there is still so much work to be done.

I'll admit, it's easy to forget about when you don't see it all the time...and this is a stark reminder of what's still happening so close to home.

Let's continue working to Restore the Shore!
