Everyone knows this holiday season will just not be the same. Sandy made sure of that. But I heard something yesterday that surprised me.

I was on line at a store and two women in front of me were talking about Christmas decorations. One of the women said she was offended by anyone who would put out decorations while many people at the Jersey Shore are suffering. The other woman said that was unfair, because Christmas decorations didn't mean that people weren't sensitive to what people were going through.

I was surprised that someone would think that celebrating the holidays would be disrespectful. I'll tell you this, it doesn't matter how many trees or lights I see, including my own, nothing will stop me from thinking about our neighbors who were devastated by this storm. They will be on my mind no matter what.

But since there are people thinking about it that way, I thought I would ask you guys what you think.
