Manchester Police said that through their preliminary investigation, they learned that 49-year old Daniel Amble was heading east in a 1997 black Jeep Wrangler on Pasadena Road Friday when he suddenly left the roadway, veered onto a wooded area passing the dirt shoulder and eventually crashed into a large tree.

Police arrived shortly before 4:00 pm where Pasadena Road crosses near Buckingham Road and soon thereafter Amble was medevacked to Jersey Shore University Medical Center in Neptune.

EMTs from the Manchester Township Division of Emergency Services, as well as, Paramedics from Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital assisted Manchester Police at the crash scene.

The investigation into the crash is still ongoing, but police said that "at this point, failure to maintain lane appears to be the primary contributing factor."

Patrolman Conner Yatauro of the department’s Traffic Safety Section is leading the investigation.
