NJ.com is reporting that according to store employees, New York & Company will be closing about 20 locations in New Jersey. Unfortunately, four of them are close to home.

New York & Company stores at the Freehold Raceway Mall, Ocean County Mall in Toms River, Jackson Premium Outlets, and Jersey Shore Premium Outlets in Tinton Falls are all set to shut down.

COVID-19 strikes again. That was the reason given for the closures. The company announced early in the month that it filed for bankruptcy and would

close a significant portion, if not all brick-and-mortar stores due to the financial impact of the coronavirus pandemic.

As of this writing, New York & Company officials would not make an official statement on the exact locations that would be shutting their doors. They did say more details would be released in the upcoming weeks.

All signs point to New York & Company stores not being in very good shape overall an unmarketed liquidation sale is going on with 80% off everything online. Time to stock up!

Expect liquidation sales to begin at the physical locations in the near future.
