Brick and mortar retail is hurting. This is just another example.

It was announced Monday that women's clothing chain, Dressbarn which has been around for over 60 years is closing all 650 locations. In Monmouth and Ocean counties this includes Howell, Jackson, Matawan, and Toms River.

Dressbarn is owned by Ascena Retail Group Inc., and they said in a press release that these closures will allow them to focus on some of their more profitable brands like Lane Bryant and Ann Taylor.

Ascena didn't say when the closures would happen. Unfortunately, 6,800 employees that are currently employed by Dressbarn nationwide will soon be looking for jobs.
