Are You Ready For American Idol?

I just saw a promo for American Idol last night and the first thing I thought to myself was, 'I'm not ready for this." I've been enjoying X Factor for the most part and I just wonder if I'm going to be burned out on singing competitions by the time it's over. 

I'm sure that by the time Idol kicks off, they'll come up with some story line or gimmick that'll get me hooked all over again, although executive producer Nigel Lythgoe said there will be no major changes to the show. For now I'm thinking this singing show concept can be overdone. What do you think? Are you ready for American Idol?
