An Asbury Park man will spend 15-years in state prison after pleading guilty to a 2013 murder near Bangs and Dewitt Avenues, according to Monmouth County Prosecutors.

25-year old Dominique Moore admitted using the 9-mm in his possession to kill Daniel Graves and then running off, leaving his victim on the ground suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.

The January 10, 2013 homicide remained under investigation for nearly four-years before the guilty plea.

Multiple shots had been reported fire around 8:20 pm on the night of the murder igniting a response from Asbury Park Police.

Graves had left a pizzeria in Asbury Park followed by a small group that night

After the shooting and response by police Graves was brought to Jersey Shore University Medical Center in Neptune Township where he was pronounced deceased at 8:57 p.m.

Moore faces a 15-year prison term when he returns on March 22, 2018 for sentencing before a Monmouth County Superior Court Judge.

He plead guilty Wednesday to first degree Aggravated Manslaughter and admitted to having in his possession a loaded 9-mm handgun, pointing the gun at the victim, pulling the trigger and killing the 23-year old from Asbury Park.

As part of his plea deal, the Monmouth County Prosecutor's Office will recommend that Moore receive a term of 15 years in New Jersey state prison, subject to the provisions of the No Early Release Act (NERA), requiring him to serve 85 percent of the sentence before he is eligible for release on parole.

After Moore is released he will be on parole supervision for five years.

The plea agreement was reached after full consultation with, and with the approval of, the victim's family.

Moore's guilty plea follows the joint investigation by the Monmouth County Prosecutor's Office and the Asbury Park Police Department.
