This year, unfortunately, runners will not be able to go to The Stone Pony for live music and drinks after a fun Christmas spirited run. However, the 2020 Asbury Park Santa Run will be virtual and runners will be jogging or walking for a wonderful cause. Times like these... WE ALWAYS HAVE TO LOOK AT THE BRIGHT SIDES! Anytime from December 14th through December 26th, you will be able to run your race anywhere, all while supporting Lunch Break! Since 1983, Lunch Break has been providing life's basic necessities of food, clothing, life skills and fellowship to families in need throughout Monmouth County and beyond. Tickets are $34.95 and all runners will receive a special edition long sleeve shirt commemorating the event. A portion of the proceeds will go to Lunch Break. Runners will be able to upload their times to see where they stacked up against the competition. If you want to help Lunch Break and run virtually, you can purchase tickets by tapping this link! You can also join the events Facebook page by clicking this link.

The Asbury Park Santa run is a 5k race and you have plenty of time to prepare! Over one month to get ready to run 3.1 miles...ALL FOR A GREAT CAUSE...YOU CAN EASILY DO THAT! When getting prepared for the race, make sure you have a nice pair of running sneakers and comfortable cold weather gear. Things will be different this year but for fun memories, the video below is a great example of last years run! Hopefully the Santa Run will be back to normal next year!
