Polar Bear Plunge

It was too cold even for the brave people who take part in the Asbury Park Polar Bear plunge this past Sunday. Wind chills dipped near zero, so now the event will take place on February 2nd.

The event is organized by the Rotary Club of Asbury Park and proceeds will go toward restoring the shore as well as well as supplying corneas for transplant for poor patients internationally, according to trentonian.com.

Any time people are willing to take the polar bear plunge, I give them all the credit in the world. Here's to hoping the weather this Saturday is better! By the way, the extended outlook for Saturday is partly sunny, high 33 with a wind chill of about 26. At least that's a little better!  Best of luck to all participants!
