An Atlantic City man has some explaining to do after police in Little Egg Harbor found him with more than 500 bags of heroin, nine bags of crack-cocaine, marijuana and a scale during a traffic stop.

The collar came via a narcotics related investigation conducted by the Little Egg Harbor Police Department which resulted in a motor vehicle stop of a black KIA 4 door vehicle on Scotch Pine Drive.

A search of the vehicle and occupants resulted in the seizure of 513 bags of heroin, nine bags of crack cocaine, a quantity of marijuana, a scale, and the arrest of 28-year old James E. Whitfield.

Whitfield was transported to the Little Egg Harbor Police Department where he was charged with 2 counts of Possession of a Controlled Dangerous Substance, and 1 count of Possession of a Controlled Dangerous Substance with Intent to Distribute.

The investigation was a cooperative effort between the Little Egg Harbor Street Crimes Unit and Patrol Division.
