Nickelback frontman Chad Kroeger, according to People.com.

The pair, who have been quietly dating for six months, met while working together on Lavigne's new album and became engaged on Aug. 8, when Kroeger, 37, presented the 27-year-old with a 14-carat diamond ring.

Lavigne, whose marriage to Sum 41 frontman, Deryck Whibley, ended in 2009, also dated Kardashian step-brother Brody Jenner. Even though Jenner pledged his love for Lavigne with a tattoo of her name on his arm, they split in early 2012, not long before Lavigne and Kroeger started working together.

The newly engaged pair have managed to keep their relationship seemingly under the radar, although in May, they were snapped getting cozy during a dinner date in Paris. This will be the first marriage for Kroeger.
