Spend this Saturday, June 14, 2013, on the beach for a great cause and lots of entertainment!

This morning we had Kris Ford from Discovery Channel's Sons of Guns on our show. Turns out he's a musician on the side and is going to be performing as one of the bands at the beach in Seaside Park tomorrow. He's from Louisiana and went through Katrina, writing a song in the process that he believes will also suit the Jersey Shore since Sandy.

What's even cooler is that Kris is opening for Rapper's Delights, formerly knows as The Sugar Hill Gang!

Bands in the Sand is benefiting Hometown Heroes, which not only helps those in need post-Sandy and elsewhere, but lost their own building and everything the charity owns in a recent fire.

The Bands will gather on the beach by the Sawmill from 11 am - 7 pm to perform, with a food tent and the first beer garden at the beach! The donation entry is $10 per person.

So bring your beach chairs and enjoy the first clear day we've had since a week of rain! Some of the other artists performing are well-known NJ cover bands with a few appearances from national acts. Also included in the day's event will be a flash mob performance in between acts performed by Exit 82 Theatre Company and registrants from the general public at aobut 2 pm! Don't wanna miss that!
