Two Beachwood residents are facing a string of drug related offenses after investigators found 48 bricks of heroin, enough for 2,400 dosage units, inside a residence along with $4,000 in cash.

Ocean County Prosecutor Bradley Billhimer announced the arrests Monday following a two-month investigation with Beachwood Detectives into illegal drug activity in the Ocean County area.

OCPO Narcotics Strike Force Detectives and Beachwood Detectives identified a residence  that was being used to store and distribute quantities of Heroin.

As Detectives from the OCPO Narcotics Strike Force and Beachwood Police executed a search warrant at the residence, John Vaughn and Jennifer Vuono left and were then  detained.

Vaughn, 47, of Beachwood, is being charged with Possession of Heroin in a quantity of more than One Half Ounce but less than Five Ounces with the Intent to Distribute, Possession of Heroin and Possession of a Hypodermic Syringe without a Valid Prescription.

Vuono, 38, of Beachwood, is being charged with Distribution of Heroin, Possession of Heroin in a quantity of more than One Half Ounce but less than Five Ounces with the Intent to Distribute, two counts of Possession of Heroin and Possession of a Hypodermic Syringe without a Valid Prescription.

They were brought to the Ocean County Jail following their arrest and then released pending a future court date.
