It's a Jersey Shore tradition for many.

After all that sun and fun at the beach, this is where you should head for the best of the best:

Strollo's in Belmar is my number one choice for homemade ice cream at the Jersey Shore.

Since my boys were little, this has been our annual summer tradition. For me, it's their peanut butter ice with hot fudge on top. There is nothing like it anywhere else (including other Strollo's, which have different owners.)

The atmosphere of being on Main Street in Belmar and watching all the cars go by and the drawbridge go up and down is awesome. You feel like you're right in the heart of the Jersey Shore.

Although the original Strollo's building on the northbound side of Main Street had to be closed because some huge new building is going up on that site, Strollo's has moved directly across the street on the southbound side of Main Street in a pretty, bright yellow building. Same great ices :)

They even have some parking for you there, although you can still park on Fifth Ave. heading toward the beach and walk over.

And if you get there and see a line? Just know it's totally worth the wait.

What's your favorite ice/ice cream shop at the shore?
