I am pretty picky when it comes to my take-out restaurants. I like to know the food is fresh and the cooks are careful. And you can double it when it comes to sushi.

So, when I found a local sushi place that I am absolutely in love with, I have to share it with you. Even though I have a feeling you probably beat me to the punch on this one. You’ve probably heard of Xina in Toms River. It's a Sushi & Oyster Bar and Chinese Bistro.

First of all, it couldn’t be in a more beautiful spot, right at the foot of the Tunney Mathis bridge, so dining in is a really great choice. Sit back, enjoy the surroundings and dig into some of the area’s best Chinese cuisine in all of Ocean County.

And if you live near Xina, you probably have quite a view of your own at your place, so you might be thinking take out. If that’s your choice, grab that sushi, sashimi, nigiri, and signature rolls on their awesome menu and order away!

And if you need some suggestions from a guy who’s done this before, here are 5 of my favorites...

Everything Bagel Roll...

How Jersey is that? Smoked salmon, cream cheese, and everything bagel seasoning.

Spice Is Right Roll.

Another great name and it packs a punch with spicy tuna, pickled jalapeños, and more.

Acapulco Roll.

A vacation for your mouth. Mango sweetens your mouth around lobster tempura and crab salad.

Coconut Shrimp Roll.

Just as delicious as it sounds complete with shrimp and lobster.
Out of Control Roll. Ava ado and asparagus accent tuna, yellowtail, and salmon.

Painted Lady Roll.

They don't stop with the lobster tail and asparagus. Add in spicy tuna avocado, mango, and mango sauce. What is there not to love?
Those are just my faves. Please give it a try and let us know yours!
