You can now legally light one up in the Garden State as Recreational Marijuana use is legal if you're 21 or older. Possession of six ounces or less of marijuana for use on your private property is also legal and you can't be criminally charged for possessing it.

Public use is an entirely different matter as more towns across New Jersey continue to ban the use and sale of weed in the Garden State.

The lastest town in South Jersey to put a halt on public use and the sale of marijuana is Brigantine according to a report in the Press of Atlantic City. Brigantine joins Ocean City and North Wildwood as towns that have banned Marijuana completely.

Ocean City has banned businesses from selling cannabis and Stone Harbor, Sea Isle City, Wildwood Crest, and Cape May will soon follow with similar bans according to the Philadelphia Inquirer.

When it comes to the sale of marijuana, Officials in Northfield would strongly consider it especially since the possibilities of a revenue stream with job opportunities and tax revenue would exist.

There are now 16 official marijuana dispensaries open in the Garden State. South Jersey locations include The Botanist on the Boardwalk in Atlantic City and Century Drive in Egg Harbor Township and Cura Leaf located on Coolidge Avenue in Bellmawr in Camden County.
