The top earning musician of 2014 according to Forbes was Dr. Dre, mostly due to his Beats headphone sale to Apple, and New Jersey was well represented in the top 5.

Among the top 5 in the music world this year include Bon Jovi, pulling in $82 million and Bruce Springsteen, who made $81 million. The two finished fourth and fifth on the list respectively.

Rounding out the top three was Beyonce's $115 million, and the Eagles who brought in about $100 million, according to news.com. Justin Bieber just missed the top 5 with his $80 million and One Direction made a cool $75 million.
