Calling All JERSEY WINOS! You MUST Try This Spooky ‘Jersey Devil’ Dessert Wine

First...let's just make sure you qualify:

Awesome....now that we got that out of the way.

A friend of mine introduced me to this New Jersey-themed wine that is perfect for the spooky season.

It is called Valenzano Jersey Devil Port.

It comes from Valenzano Family Winery which is located in Shamong right here in New Jersey.

Here is how this delicious dessert wine is described on their website:

"This local legend comes right from the heart of the New Jersey Pine Barrens. Our Jersey Devil Port is a deep, rich, and velvety Cynthiana wine fortified with brandy and aged in oak for three years. It’s powerful stuff. Enjoy responsibly or repent later."

And just for the extra kicker....it is 19.5% alcohol by volume.

To put it in perspective, your typical bottle of wine has a 11.5% to 13.5 % ABV so yes, this Jersey Devil is a BEAST!

Three women went through two bottles of this EASILY...it was delicious and the perfect beverage to accompany watching 'Hocus Pocus.'

As far as how to purchase this delectable bottle that winos around the shore need in their lives, there are a few options.

The first is to visit the Valenzano Family Winery. Their address is 1090 Route 206 in Shamong.

Here are their hours of operation just so you have them:

Monday - Wednesday: 11am - 5pm

Thursday - Saturday: 11am - 9pm

Sunday: 11am - 4pm

In addition, you can also purchase various Valenzano wines at almost any wine or liquor store throughout the state of New Jersey.

Let me put it this way. BOTH of my regular liquor stores carry this beautiful Jersey Devil.

If, for whatever reason, a store near you does not carry it, here is the message that is posted on their website:

"Our wines can be found at almost every wine store in New Jersey. If your local wine store does not carry Valenzano Wines simply ask the store manager or owner and we can usually deliver to any store in New Jersey within 1-2 business days."

BOOM!  Problem solved.

I did not, however, check to see if my local liquor stores carried other Valenzano wines.

But this leads me to my next point.

This winery not only makes various other wines and alcoholic beverages, but they also have a lot more to offer.

They carry a lot of your typical choices: Cabernet Merlot, Chambourcin (which has won awards), Vidal Blanc, Chardonnay and Shamong Red, White, Shamong and Blush.

Some of their more standout, unique flavors include: Berry White Cranberry White, True Blue Blueberry Wine and Red and White & Blueberry Sangria.
