Car Highjacked with Baby Leads to Chase in Monmouth

Scary moments in Hazlet Wednesday when a vehicle is hijacked with a baby inside on 13th Street. According to the Asbury Park Press a North Jersey man led police on a multi-town chase along Route 36 at around 12:20 p.m. before being arrested in Aberdeen. Officials say the infant girl was found safe in the car after it was abandoned on Broad Street in Keyport. 44-year-old Rodney Anderson of Jersey City was taken into custody.

The Monmouth County Prosecutors Office says the FBI, Monmouth County Sheriff's K-9 unit and Monmouth county Prosecutors office detectives and local police from the three towns participated in the search.
