You want to believe all your information is secure, but unfortunately, that's not always the case.

We've all heard stories about security breaches and personal information being leaked.

Did your Cash App account get compromised?

According to AP News,

Earlier this year, Cash App Investing and its parent company Block Inc. agreed to pay $15 million to settle a lawsuit that alleged a “failure to exercise reasonable care” in protecting user information leading up to and after recent data breaches. The class-action complaint cited two incidents where access to some account data was compromised, saying this resulted in numerous unauthorized charges impacting Cash App customers.

Although Cash App and Block deny any wrongdoing, as part of the settlement they have to pay up.

If you believe your information was compromised you can submit an eligibility claim.

You have until November 18th to do so with a final approval hearing scheduled for December 16th.
