ATTENTION JERSEY SHORE RESIDENTS: Don't throw out your Christmas trees!

This year, you can recycle your Christmas tree and help a Jersey shore beach all at the same time.

On Saturday, January 4th from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM, bring your old Christmas trees to Island Beach State Park to help rebuild the sand dunes.

Bring your trees without the ornaments and Christmas lights to the A-23 parking lot to donate.

To better understand why sand dunes are so important and how man-made sand dunes are built, watch the video below.

It is a lot of work and costs a lot of money but I think it is more than worth it to keep the Jersey Shore safe.

If we waited for Mother Nature to naturally rebuild destroyed sand dunes, we would be sitting around for 1 to 2 decades!
