Coffee Lovers! New Starbucks to be Built in Toms River, New Jersey

As always we like to keep you up to date on what is happening here at the Jersey Shore and in Ocean, Burlington and Monmouth Counties. This time around we are focusing on Toms River.

This story began when I received a message from a listener, Mary, who as “what’s going into the old Bank of America building on the corner of Hooper and Oak” in Toms River? She asked “maybe another drive thru chain?”.

So after taking a ride by I took some photos (above) of the construction and after doing some searching online it appears we have a new coffee house coming to Toms River right there on Hooper Avenue at Oak Avenue. You can never get enough coffee ☕️ right?

According to reports, the construction that’s being done will be to build a new Starbucks coffee house at this location, which will be very convenient for Starbucks lovers. According to Google, the new Starbucks Cafe will have a drive-thru and a patio for outdoor seating. This will be the first “standalone” Starbucks in Toms River. So for fans of Starbucks in the Toms River area this will be a welcome addition to the Township. Toms River does have several “Starbucks” within other stores, but there hasn’t been a “standalone” cafe in Toms River. We do have many local “standalone” coffee houses and they are fantastic, as I said you can never have enough coffee choices :)

There is no estimated date for completion, but construction is now underway. We will keep you posted on any dates we hear about, but hopefully sooner then later :)
