Creating a More Vibrant Downtown Point Pleasant Beach
I had the honor of meeting the new mayor of Point Pleasant Beach, Paul Kanitra, after his swearing in last month. Now he has some great news to share about his amazing friends and the grants they are helping provide to make Point Beach even better!
The Fisher Family Fund for Point Pleasant Beach is now accepting applications for grants to enrich the community of Point Pleasant Beach, NJ. The Fund provides financial support for 501(c)(3) non-profits, schools, and government organizations to support and strengthen Point Pleasant Beach, celebrating Point Beach’s historic past and helping create a vibrant future.
The Fisher Family Fund supports a board range of interests, including promoting a vibrant community and downtown, cultural and the arts, and educational efforts.
The initial endowment for the Fund is $2,000,000, and the Fund supports two types of grants: (a) community grants (up to $5,000) and (b) major grants ($5,000-$25,000). The Fund expects to donate up to $100,000 in total each year.
The Fisher Family Fund for Point Pleasant Beach was founded by Steve and Sue Fisher, active residents of the community.
Mayor Kanitra says,“I am so incredibly grateful that my good friends Steve and Sue Fisher have once again stepped up to help make Point Pleasant Beach an even better place to live and visit. Not only have they completely bought in to the vision of revitalizing our amazing community, but they’re setting a clear example of what it means to get engaged and give back. This fund will help our residents and visitors in countless ways and will serve as a lasting legacy of the Fishers for decades and decades to come.”
