Do You Have a Favorite Produce Guy at your Grocery Store?

Today is National "Love Your Produce Guy" Day! Do you go to a specific store for your produce because of the service and quality?

I have wanted to honor my favorite Produce Guy for a long time now. Because Sal Selletto, at the Foodtown in Sea Girt, is beyond any manager that I've known when it comes to produce and other store goods. In fact, I never thought I'dever actually care to know a Produce Guy at a food store, but Sal goes way beyond the limits of his job to get to know his customers.

You walk in the door, and if Sal is there he will greet you by name, ask you what you're shopping for, and go out of his way to find it for you and tell you if it's on sale. If he doesn't have it, he will order it for you! He's even helped me with recipes...or tracked down someone who can!

Sal is quick with a smile, a story, and remembers what is going on with you and will ask you how you are doing. He just has a genuine love for his job and takes customer service seriously!

Sal has also made donations at some of our food drives for the Foodbank of Monmouth and Ocean Counties.

So, Sal, now that I know that there is a special holiday in your honor, and for all of the other produce people out there...Happy" Love Your Produce Guy" Day!
