A Lacey Township resident called police on Wednesday morning after a man they didn't know walked right through the front door and into their home.

When police got there around 8:41 am, they caught up to 29-year old Robert Hyres of Waretown who was getting into his vehicle.

He told officers that he entered the home because his father was doing an estimate inside the residence.

Police investigated and found that there were no contractors inside the home and realized that Hyres was under the influence.

He was arrested and charged with DWI and Reckless Driving.

Hyres was released on his own recognizance pending a court appearance.
