A mother in Asbury Park drove drunk to Applebee's on Route 66 with her three young children in the car Monday evening.

When Stella A. Johnson arrived to the restaurant, she was loud and caused a ruckus. It was not long before police were called to the scene.

When law enforcement arrived, Johnson continued her boisterous conduct and kicking Officer Gennis Polanco until she was put into the back of a police car.

A spokesperson of the restaurant said that she was not served any alcohol at the restaurant and was very thankful that her staff reacted swiftly with the children's safety being the number one priority.

The three children, who are all under 8 years old, are now with another family member.

Johnson was charged with endangering the welfare of children, assault on a police officer, disorderly conduct, and driving while intoxicated.

There has been no bail set and it has not been determined if a lawyer has been called to represent Johnson.
