If you are a big fan of the Eastern State Penitentiary’s Terror Behind the Walls and you are planning to go this Halloween season you better get ready to see some big changes that you are either going to love or be very disappointed by.

It is not news that the Eastern State Penitentiary has a beer garden but it is news that Terror Behind the Walls is now being replaced.

We learned from Pennsylvania News Today that Eastern State Penitentiary has decided to replace the beloved Terror Behind the Walls with "Halloween night, Beer gardens, live performances, some “not scary” exhibits and attractions".

Personally, I am not really into the whole scary attractions trend, so I am not too bothered by this change.

According to Philly Voice, the Eastern State’s director of operations, Brett Bertolino, believes that the change is a good move because many people thought it was too scary. Not only that but the people that were big fans of Terror Behind the Walls years ago now have families and would prefer just have a beer with family and friends and watch live performances.

A fun fact that Philly Voice shared was that some Eastern State Penitentiary employees actually kept a tally of how many people urinated themselves after being scared. I probably would have been on that list.

The Eastern State's director of operations also told Philly Voice, "Our programming initiatives have never been more robust, and it’s because we were forced to rethink what we could do.”

Now the question is, will there be a haunted section at the Eastern State Penitentiary?

Philly Voice shared that the Eastern State Penitentiary will have "a drastically smaller "haunted" section."
