Unfortunately, our interactions with law enforcement aren't always conducive to a casual conversation. In Wall, they're setting aside time to chat.

Monday, July 24 beginning at 8:00 a.m., Wall Township police officers will be teaming up with community leaders at McDonald's at 1831 Route 35. For complete details, click here.

The event will be informal. The purpose; to comfortably bring up issues you may have and ask honest questions, all while sharing a cup 'o joe.

Undoubtedly, there are many aspects of being an officer in Wall that we don't know about. Conversely, there may be concerns that you have that the Department wants to know about. Wall Township Police are great, but let's face it, they can't be everywhere all the time.

This program is a really great idea, and hopefully, more towns at the Shore will think about doing it. If your police department isn't currently hosting a program like this, request one! I'm sure they would be happy to put one together.

Use Wall Township as an example.
