The phrase 'every weekend is important for Jersey Shore beach towns' has never been more true than it is this summer.

Every day and every weekend is important for every business in Monmouth & Ocean Counties these days, but for those businesses who rely on seasonal sales, every weekend this summer is the most important ever.

And even as things begin to get back on a more normal trajectory, there is nothing normal about this summer for local business owners and employees. That is why it is so vitally important to remind ourselves and each other to buy local!

As we broadcast from the Asbury Park Boardwalk, we remind you about the Asbury Park Chamber of Commerce and their Be Vocal Buy Local campaign. They have an awesome list of local businesses and what each is doing.

Please use this as a tool and visit it frequently, since, of course, information is rapidly changing. And when you visit Asbury, make sure you are showing these awesome establishments the support they deserve and so desperately  need.

And remember to maintain social distancing and all the other new normal rules when you're visiting the Asbury Park Boardwalk, and the city's gorgeous beach. We can all enjoy this summer to the fullest if we care for ourselves and each other.
