Lou & Liz – The Joy Of Accepting An Award Together

When I was asked to accept an award on behalf of Townsquare Media a while back, I was thrilled. Then I found out who was also sitting with me at the table at the ceremony.

The award was the "Joan Flatley Spirit of Asbury Park Award" at the Asbury Park Chamber of Commerce  2019 Carousel Awards. And, yes, the other person at the table accepting the award was Liz.

One of the photos taken that night popped up in my memories and it made me laugh, so I thought I would share it with you today. I think it encompasses everything you need to know about Lou & Liz.

We actually had a great time that night with all our wonderful friends in Asbury Park and we were honored to accept the award on behalf of Townsquare Media, and as always we were a step ahead of social trends.

We were among the first people on the planet to regularly practice social distancing, even though it was only between the two of us. we sat a few seats apart and it worked out pretty well.

The whole thing got me thinking about all the great days, especially summer days, that we have enjoyed in Asbury Park and on the Asbury Park Boardwalk. We can't wait to be back there with you soon!
