I don't think that, before writing this, even I knew just how rich in history The Flanders is. This place was built between the two World Wars and it was envisioned to attract visitors from Philly to the Jersey Shore after the completion of the Delaware River Bridge.
It was a project largely funding by private citizens in Ocean City and two dozen local businessmen.
And there it stands, a whole other World War and 17 U.S. presidents later. Summer after summer.
