We've been sharing the family-building journey of Megan and her husband, Adam, who won our Gift of Family giveaway in partnership with Reproductive Medicine Associates (RMA) New Jersey.

They completed a full in vitro fertilization (IVF) cycle and had one of their four frozen embryos transferred earlier this year. Sadly, after a few weeks, they learned the pregnancy was not viable.

So now, they are taking some time away for themselves but remain hopeful for their future and parenthood. They have three frozen embryos remaining that were found to be genetically normal through preimplantation genetic testing for aneuploidy, or PGT-A, and those embryos will be available when they are ready to continue treatment.

Megan has said she's grateful for this experience and the support they've received through sharing their story. She applied for the Gift of Family opportunity after suffering a miscarriage at 9 weeks due to a chromosomal disorder within the embryo. Megan's body doesn't ovulate naturally, and they had exhausted all the IUI (artificial insemination) cycles her insurance would cover. IVF was their next step, and we're grateful we were able to help them achieve that.

We continue to root for her and Adam as they work to build their family and wish them nothing but the best. In the meantime, if you or a loved one has watched the calendar for longer than 6-12 months but are still not getting pregnant, RMA New Jersey can help; visit rmanetwork.com or call 973-656-2089.
