Tonight is the kick off of Thursday night concerts at Riverside Gardens Park (40 West Front St.)  It's a wonderful way to spend a summer evening, so bring a blanket or some lawn chairs and relax in a gorgeous park overlooking the Shrewsbury River while you are entertained by some incredible jazz musicians.

It's called Jazz in the Park and will run Thursday evenings until Aug. 23rd. CLICK HERE to see the complete line-up, but I can tell you that you are in for a treat with each artist/group performing.

Tonight's group is The Jost Project, a band of world-renowned jazz musicians who have come together to play classic rock tunes turned into jazz pieces. Opening for them will be a trio of super cool teen jazz musicians called Iced Water. The concert begins at 7 pm.

Whether it's a date night or family night, come on out to watch the sun set over the water and perhaps enjoy your own picnic or a sweet treat from the ice cream shop at the park entrance.

This is what summer is all about...and it's FREE!

This world-class music is brought to you by the Jazz Arts Project and the Borough of Red Bank.  And if you want your child to be inspired by jazz music, check out the summer jazz academy camp taking place in Red Bank the week of July 23rd: a chance for your teen musician to spend a week playing music and learning the art of jazz with peers from around Monmouth County!
