Freehold Raceway Mall Has Plans For The Old Sears Building

Lately, store after store at Freehold Raceway Mall has been making announcements that they are closing their doors. Today, we learn about what may be taking over the old Sears building.

Round1 Bowling and Amusement is like Dave & Busters on steroids. This place offers a roller rink, tennis and basketball courts, bowling (duh) billiards, arcade games, rides, karaoke, darts, ping pong, and more. Did I mention there's also a bar with food?

Round1 and Freehold Township are in preliminary talks. The closest location is in Philadelphia. They are building one in Deptford.

In other Freehold Raceway Mall news, the super-popular fried chicken chain Popeye's will be coming to Freehold Raceway Mall's food court.

Now you can grab the coveted Popeye's chicken sandwich everyone raves about while you're shopping.

Even though Kirkland's announced they would be shutting their doors, and Sur La Table as well, the Freehold Raceway Mall is alive and well.
